Barry Podesta is a very experienced PH for over 20 years and now has his own Outfitting business with his own base on his own Ranch. I know Barry well and I have personally hunted with him on his Ranch.
RHS / Richard Holmes Safaris books for Barry Podesta Hunting Safaris when RHS is full or for species RHS does not have access to, eg. Bushbuck, Warthog to name some. I have decided to work with Barry because his hunting ethics and the way he runs his safaris is the same as RHS does.
Barry Podesta Hunting Safaris is based near Grahamstown, specfically near the small village of Riebeeck East, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. He is nearer to PE ( Port Elizabeth ) than RHS. Barry is about 1 half hours drive from PE and will do PE pick up and return transfer like RHS does.
He has access to very many Kudu. Grahamstown area is known for its good Kudu and Barry has over 400,000 acres of hunting area near him with many species available, much the same as RHS's species list.
Barry is married with 2 teenage daughters.

ALL INCLUSIVE-NO HIDDEN COSTS
A reminder that any animal not exported out of South Africa 14 % VAT tax must be charged onto the animals fees, and onto any Trophy's fees. Exporting even just one part or some of the animals you hunt will mean no VAT tax needs to be charged.

Our plains game Safaris take place on huge private ranches ranging in size from 5000 - 12,000 acres in the Grahamstown area. All hunting is done by spot and stalk, so it is real open fair chase hunting. This hunt is all inclusive from Port Elizabeth ( PE ), South Africa. Our safaris include daily rates, all hunting transportation, full service staff, professional hunter. Also includes PE airport pick up and drop off in Port Elizabeth, hunting licenses, trophy handling/skinning, hunting permit fees, and VAT tax and Enjoy catered meals, daily laundry service and open bar in moderation during your trip. Stay in our comfortable, modern Ranch house with full amenities, all included.
NOT INCLUDED
Additional fees for game taken over and above animals included in the package, taxidermy fees, trophy transportation/dipping/packing(raw prep)/shipping after the safari, any additional days added to the safari, side trips and tours, additional persons (hunters/non hunters) added to the package, airline flights, and gratuities. One pre-safari night is required in Johannesburg ( JNB ) at the buyer’s expense. Cost is approximately $120 per room, for flights arriving into JNB late.
TERMS
Half of the total cost of the hunt is due upon booking the other half is due 6 months before the safari. Send deposit to us via credit card or bank transfer. Not available if you have a donated hunt. No refund if package game is not all shot. Please see website for full price list which also has additional Terms i.e. cancellation etc.
7 day safari itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 pick up in PE between 10 am and 2 pm only
Days 2 through 6 are full hunting days
Day 7 return to PE after breakfast at camp
WEAPONS - Due to the terrain this is a Rifle only hunt
VALID - This Safari package is valid for 2016. For 2017 the package price will be $ 4600.
