Great Rain Results
Monday, 6th April 2020
Great Rains results in a wonder of plant growth on our ranch. Wild Iris or Tulp leaves are poisonous to some herbivors, but only in the seeding stage. Bur bristle grass, only one of many grasses, which stick to your socks and animals - their clever way of seed dispersal ! Feathered Chloris grass has exploded here from all the rain and it is unusually so - maybe it's seed was most resistant to the devastating drought or not as palatable to rodents during the food shortage !
