Rick and his wife Donna Saenz from WI USA, arrived safely without any problems on Tuesday in a cold and wet Karoo. Clifton/ camp was accessible through the river... but that changed ! Tuesday dinner was Roast Springbuck leg with veges and desert.
On Wednesday Donna got a nice common Springbok at Stirling with their PH , John.They saw many Kudu on Clifton, our Ranch, so many that Rick said he saw more Kudu in one morning here than he did total on 2 previous safaris in other parts of Africa !!
Getting back to camp the river was too full for the 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser - so they had to get across the suspension bridge with all equipment, coolboxes ( food and drinks for the day ), guns AND the Springbuck!!
Well, with that achieved without any problems, a warm fire in the lodge and a good dinner of Zebra Goulash, veges, starches, seven layer salad and desert, an adventurous day ended!

Rick took a Massive Eland - 275 yd shot then the work began for hours to get it out !
Donna got a Mountain Reedbuck, finally - a tough animal to hunt at times.
Dinners were Canalonie with Zebra mince, Kudu steaklets pan fried and a Braai with duiker steaks and other meats.

Rick hunted a Massive Waterbuck, shot at 175 yards and a great Old Red Hartebeest at 340 yards !!

Their hunt ended well with 5 good Trophys.
